.NET/SQL Server Developer - Exciting Contract

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- You will be responsible for developing and delivering software solutions to meet the evolving requirements of our business users and ensuring that the solutions developed are to current industry best practice and comply with all internal Bank of America Merrill Lynch standards.

- You will work closely with business users and Business Analysts to gather requirements and produce detailed functional design specifications.

- You will work as part of a team or teams within Dublin Technology and provide guidance and technical mentoring to junior team members as required.

The key languages/platforms used are .Net C# and MS SQL Server. Database development currently accounts for much of the work on existing projects. The mix of technologies in use is evolving and candidates must demonstrate an ability to quickly adopt new and updated languages/platforms

SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
- Proven ability to work on own initiative in a fast paced environment with attention to detail.

- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, ability to understand complex problems and to generate appropriate technical solutions.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written).

- 5+ years post qualification experience in a software development role with experience of all aspects of the development life cycle.

- 4+ years experience of database development using MS SQL Server including experience of modelling and performance optimisation.

- Desirable to have experience of Data Warehouse modelling.

- Desirable to have experience of working in a Financial Services environment and ideally with some experience of Derivative, FX, Bonds, Loans or Futures.

- Desirable to have experience of DTS/SSIS and scheduling tools such as Autosys.
